Renee & John's wedding part 1

I know Renee has been on the edge of her seat to see some more from her fab wedding!! I must say Renee sent me into a detail spin with enough details to sink a battleship!! YOU go girl! I knew things were going to be good when we reached the room and there was even this sign below "bride and bridesmaids dressing room" outside the door. Donna & Matthew's wedding

I am sure Donna & Matthew are eager to see some images from their wedding that was on that hot Saturday..and yes the fires...

The wedding was in Yarra Glen with the reception at Chateau Yering. I think the guys were very brave in the 3 piece suits in that heat...

Donna looked stunning in her gown and with the bridesmaids in a slick black timeless gown. Donna & Matthew live overseas so planning this wedding must have had its ups & downs but with the help of many people from here they had a beautiful wedding. this image above was taken JUST before the ceremony and then the images below is just after the ceremony had finished! So the it was amazing how quick it all happened.

My close call during the fires..

Well these last 2 weeks have not been good ones for alot of people in Victoria. These fires have destroyed so much it is hard to comprehend. On THAT Saturday I actually had a wedding near them! We were unaware how bad they were as you are working and your main focus is on capturing the couples special day. It wasnt until we got to the reception venue and told we were in lock down and couldnt leave that we thought...well dont know what we thought really...I just kept working.

After much waiting we were told we had a very small window to get out NOW...Bec & I ran to the car and drove...and this is what we saw when we left! We had to drive through walls of smoke and flames at the side of the road..it was scary...
